Born in Lakewood, he resided in Freeport, TX for 30 years, where he was self-employed in commercial fishing as a Master Captain. In 1983, he settled in Beachwood. Robert loved the outdoors, animals and the sea.
An Army veteran serving from 1946-1947 in South Korea, he received a World War II Victory Medal and a distinguished service medal.
He was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Philipp in November of 2007.
Surviving are his children: Eric Huss of Toms River, Cathy Huss of Branson, MI, Susan lewis of Branson, MI and Bobby Lewis of Houston, TX; 2 brothers: George Huss of Brick and Edward Huss of Spring Lake Heights.
