Steven C. Fistes, 86, passed away February 1, 2011 at Kimbal Medical Center in Lakewood. He was born in Carteret and lived in Lakewood for the past 50 years. Mr. Fistes was a supervisor for the Square D Company in Bordentown, NJ for 25 years, retiring in 1985. He served in the 9th Air force European Theater during World War II. Steven was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus Post 836 of Brick and an adjunct member of the American Legion Post 166 also of Brick. He was a loving father and brother and will be greatly missed by all. Steven is survived by his son Mark Fistes of Somerset, NJ and a sister, Helen Horak of West Covina, CA. Friends may call Friday, February 4, 2011 from 4-6 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 5:30PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
