Trudy C. Baumberger

Trudy C. Baumberger, 91, passed away September 11, 2016 at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, NJ. Mrs. Baumberger was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, before moving to Brooklyn, then Glen Rock, NJ, where she raised her family, later to Atlantic Highlands and finally settling in Jensen Beach, FL, and Lakewood, NJ. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from William Paterson University and worked for Swiss Bank in New York City for many years. Trudy was an avid golfer and loved spending time with friends and family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Baumberger is predeceased by her first husband Frank Carew, second husband, Hermann Baumberger, brother, Edward Sullivan and sister, Marion Dean. Trudy is survived by her children, Mary Anne D’Anna and husband Michael, Michael Carew and wife Patti and Timothy Carew, grandchildren, Kristen Kearny and husband Frank, Lauren Borny and husband Robert, Kaitlyn Carew, Michael Paul Carew, Ryan Carew, and Christopher Carew, great grandsons, Jackson and Noah Borny, siblings, Paul McDonald and Cecile Leggett and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 4-8 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. The Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 at 10:30AM, at the St. Mary of the Lake Church in Lakewood. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Trudy’s memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or St. Mary of the Lake Church St. Vincent DePaul Society.
