Wilfred (Vinford, Uncle Son, Vin, Papa, Pops, Vince and Popsicle) was born in Walkers Wood, St. Ann, Jamaica. He migrated to Kingston in 1942 to learn the trade of cabinet making and carpentry. This is where he met Sarah Elizabeth Hall. They were eventually married and after many years of raising their family he migrated to the United Sates and reunited with his wife Sarah. They are five children of their union, the late Trevor R. Henry, the late Elaine M. Kelly. He is survived by Aston “Milton” Henry, Sharon T. Christopher, and Carey A Kelly; and 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
He is also survived by nieces and nephews living in Jamaica, England and the United States. They called him Uncle Son.
He worked construction and after 11 years retired from Wheaton Plastic Industries. Once retired he went back to carpentry and cabinet making. Doing small jobs in Lakewood among the Jamaican community. He resided in Lakewood and Toms River, NJ for over 53 years.
A lifelong love of woodwork (cabinet making and carpentry). He loved television especially old westerns, comedy, and old action movies. The Grandchildren can probably quote his many laughs and sayings while he watched his TV.
The most important thing to him was seeing as much family as possible. He loved the annual 4th of July celebration because the of family secret, He was really born July 7th. So that’s when our family traditionally celebrated his birthday.
God has called him home to rest. We love you Pops, Papa, Grandpa, Vin, Uncle Son, Vince. One Love
