

William P. “Bill” Cook, Sr., age 85, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. He was born in Passaic, NJ on April 22, 1927. Mr. Cook was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a retired Superintendent for several apartment complexes. Bill was active in the Homestead Run Community and its social club. He was a member of the VFW Post 2867. Bill was an avid bowler and enjoyed billiards. He was beloved and will be missed by many people. Husband of the late Lillian (Paige) Cook, who passed away in 2005, he was also predeceased by 4 siblings, Eleanor Black, Trina Coburn, Jack Cook and Fred Cook; he is survived by his 2 sons, Bob Cook and his wife Marilyn of Denver, CO, and Billy Cook and his wife Isabelle of Cedar Grove, NJ; a grandson, Vasili Cook; 5 sisters, Agnes Rappise, Margie Johnson, Marion Redmond, Elizabeth “Mickey” DeBoer and Dottie Vera Cook Frey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM at D'Elia Funeral Home, Route 70 and Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. The Funeral Service will be 10AM on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Brigadier General William C.
