My Dad passed away in June of 2024. I am sure AJ and Wayne are reminiscing about all the old times and great memories.

I was fortunate enough to be Mr. Payne’s neighbor for the last couple of years. Although we didn’t get to spend much time together my kids always talked about him. The few times we did spend together were always pleasant and time well spent. He talked about his wife and I knew he missed her very much. I wish I would have gotten to know you better and have more conversations. From the few that we had I knew you were a very wise man and that you could have taught me a thing or two! Last Christmas my kids were so excited to deliver some homemade goodies to him and he was kind enough to return the tin. One of our  family friends knew Mr. Payne very well and was so excited when we moved into this home because he knew we would have a great neighbor. I know you are resting peacefully with your wife, God bless you. My sincerest condolences to the family. 

My dad was in the army with AJ. I was too young to remember him and his wife. My dad kept in touch with him for all of these years. I have heard so many great things about AJ that I feel like I know him. 
My dad says he was a great man and he will be missed.
I am sure that his family knows what a great man he is.

You were a True Friend. I will Miss you terribly.  We shared so Very Much in our phone calls.  No One can ever replace you. You were One of  a Kind. You always said " The Thing About It Is".  Maybe  the Sad Part now is "The  Thing About It Is" our calls may end but No One can take away the Memories.  Thank You, My Friend.  God Bless You and your Family.
