

Mrs. Alberta Mills was born October 14, 1927 in Liberty, Texas to Tom DeBlanc and Verdie Stewart. Mrs. Mills was educated in the public schools of Liberty County, Texas. She united in marriage to Mr. Curtis Mills Sr. A longtime resident of League City, Mrs. Mills was a member of Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in League City and was a former member of Shining Star Chapter #159 Order of Eastern Star in Dickinson - Queen of Sheba Grand Chapter. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she will be truly missed by all those who loved her. After a fruitful life of 84 years, she quietly slipped into her eternal rest on May 30, 2012 in Webster, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom DeBlanc and Verdie Mosley; her husband, Curtis Mills Sr.; children, Shirley Nelson, Larry Mills and Joyce A. Smith; granddaughter, Sherry Murray; sister. Leola Henry; and brothers, Robert DeBlanc and Walter Lee DeBlanc. Left to cherish memories of her beautiful life are her children: Curtis Mills Jr., Eugene Mills, Lillie Williams (Clemon) and Thelma Moore (Willie); a sister, Willie B. Stelley; two brothers, Tom DeBlanc and John DeBlanc; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends. May The Work She's Done, Speak For Her!
