Donald Gene Palmer Sr.

Donald Gene Palmer, age 72, of Dickinson Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at his place of residence.  Donald, the son of the late William and Ella Palmer, was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny, sister, Billie and son, Donald, Jr.Donald graduated from Dunbar High school in 1962.  While attending High School, Donald participated in the school choir and was given the nickname "Mr. Personality" by some, as he would often sing the Lloyd Price 1959 hit song entitled "Personality".His life can be summed up as follows:D - Determined to live his life by his own standardsO - One of everything is enough for me was his belief.N - Need was not always a requirement, I have what I want.A - Anything I can do to help I will do it.L - Love Loved his family, his friends and his life.D - Do It - I can do what I want how and when I want to do it.Donald united with New Jerusalem Baptist Church at an early age and was a former member of the choir.  Left to cherish memories of his life are his brothers, George (Dorothy), Clarence, Freddie (Rose); sisters, Selena, Shirley (Robert), Ella and Wanda; other family members and friends.
