Lorraine Faye East

Lorraine Faye East was born July 17, 1949 in Galveston, Texas and passed from this earthly life May 15, 2013 at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City. Faye, a homemaker, attended Booker T. Washington School in Texas City. At an early age she was Christened in the Catholic faith in Galveston. She later united with Mt. Paran Missionary Baptist Church in Texas City under the leadership of the late Rev. E. J. Johnson. In later years, she united with Cross Pointe Community Church in Texas City. Faye was a member of Lakeview Court #262 Heroines of Jericho (PHA); and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Preceded in death by her mother, Aldonia Moore, granddaughter, Aveona East and two brothers, Rodney J. Green and Tyrone Carrington; Faye is survived by her children, Yorlanda Fisher-Hill (Aubrey), Denise East-Herring (Keithon), Crystal East-Shorts (Leslie) and Ben East; her birth mother, Pauline Green; her siblings, Arthur Green (Patricia), Lee Green, Randall Green (Mary), Michael Green (Pam), Paulette Reed (Michael), Michelle Green (Jerome), William Johnson, Diane Woodard; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
