Novaita Roach

On August 31, 1924, Novaita Samuels (affectionately called BeBe) was born to Hattie & Henry Samuels in Shiro, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age and later became a member of First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor F. M. Johnson and later Pastor A. L. Bell, where she was a faithful member until her health failed. She was married to O. C. Curry and later married James Roach. She is preceded in death by her parents (Hattie & Henry Samuels), husband (James Roach), daughters (Bettye Carol Scott & Eddye Jewel Hawkins), step-mother (Roberta Samuels) and grand-daughter (Christie Scott). On November 3, 2014, BeBe departed this earthly life to be with the Lord. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Ruby Nell Powell (Walter) and Charlene Curry Drake. Her grandchildren: Christopher Samuels, Novaita Samuels-Sanders (Thomas); Denise Samuels-Brown (Ronnie); Dr. Cassisus Drake (Jacqueline ); Joy Drake-Milligan (Anaye); John Charles Drake (Bettina); Chelsea Drake-Marks (Jordan); David Roach (Velvet); Michael Hawkins (Amber) and Adrianne Bennett; as well as eighteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
