God called her home to rest on May 23, 2015 at her residence in Hitchcock, Texas. Shirley was a smart, beautiful and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Shirley was a gidt from God whom he gave wisdom beyond her years. Shirley was the Matriarch of the family. She was someone who always greeted everyone with a smile, was easy to talk to and was a really good listener. Family members would always come to her from advice, comfort or just conversation. Shirley was an administrative secretary in Clinical Microbiology at UTMB Galveston, where she worked for many years until her retirement in 2009. During her retirement, Shirley enjoyed spending time with family, reading books, magazines and watching crime and comedy shows. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Berry Wright Sr. and Daisy Austin Wright; husband, Oris Madria, Jr.; grandmother, Helen Jackson; aunt, Lorraine Mack; brother, Jonathan Austin Wright and nephew, Anthony Wright. Left to cherish her memories of her life ar her devoted and loving son, Keith Wright Madria; sister, Sharon Wright; brother, Berry Wright Jr. and wife, Rita Wright; sisters-in-law, Ida Cestro and husband Ivory Cestro, Katherine Bryant, Bernice Simmons; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Madria and wife, Jackie Madria; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
