Jeannette Roach Longnecker passed away on October 28, 2015. She was a loving daughter, wife and mother devoted to her family, church and community. Jeannette was an active volunteer for the First United Methodist Church, Fairfield Medical Center, Alley Park and the Girl Scouts.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Longnecker Schowe (Ben); five grandchildren: Michael Longnecker (Bonnie), Christopher Sims (JoAn), Mark Sims (Tracy), Mary Schowe and Benjamin Schowe; great-grandchildren: Ella Longnecker, Maya and Jacob Sims, and Violet and Selma Sims; and son-in-law Richard Sims.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband Roy A. Longnecker, her parents, Jerry E. and Cleora S. Roach, brother, Edwin S. Roach, son, David Longnecker and daughter, Mary Carol Sims.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Rev. Cheryl Foulk officiating. Burial will follow at Green Mound Cemetery. Visitation will take place 12 to 1 Saturday at the funeral home.
