Doris Vanhorn White

LANCASTER: Doris Vanhorn White , Age 92 , of Lancaster Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday Feb. 9th 2017. Doris was born August 11th 1924 in Athens Ohio to Harvey Vanhorn and Maude Vanhorn. She was a life long resident of Lancaster and a graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1942. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Eastern Star of Lancaster. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Who enjoyed spending time with family. Preceded in death by parents Harvey and Maude Vanhorn, Sister Betty Vanhorn Young, and husband, Richard C White.

Survived by sons Richard "DJ" (Cheryl) White of Lancaster: Roger (Anne) White of Duxbury Mass; Daughter, Mrs. David (Richalie) Williams of Cary NC; Grandchildren, Douglas White, Elizabeth White, Kristin White, Annie White, Krisslyn Ricard; Sister Nancy Vanhorn Bloomer and Niece Kathryn Bloomer Easterday.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00a.m. Saturday February 11, 2017at HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends and family may visit Saturday from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
