Eloise Kathleen Groff

Eloise K. Groff, age 83 of Lancaster went home to be with our loving Lord on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Ohio State University Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend and will always be remembered as a devout Christian, who cared about others more than herself. Born in Black, Alabama to Rev. W.J. & Gertrude Hughes. She leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years Rev. Carl E. Groff, her five children; Ed (Mary) Groff, Carl (Denise) Groff, Twila (Jimmy) Tyler, Ken (Lidia) Groff, Pam (Steve) Smyka, 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren , twin sister Louise (James) Reichmann, sister, Evangeline (James) Ward, nieces and nephews.

Preceded by in death by; her parents and brothers Joel and Jennings Hughes.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M. Friday at Mills Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Rita Brown officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery, Bremen, Ohio. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Thursday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.
