

Ethel I. Roush, 85, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 7th 2015, surrounded by her loving family at Zusman Hospice in the Wexner Heritage Village. She was born October 29th, 1929 in Hocking County, Ohio to the late Jessie R. Huston and Mary G. Wagner. Ethel was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lancaster for many years. She retired from the Lancaster City School system where she worked in the food service for 33 years at Lancaster High School. She was lovingly referred to by her students as the “Burrito Lady”.
Ethel was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ed Roush; her parents; her son, Jeff Roush; her brothers: Harold, Forest, and Buzz Huston, and her sister Mabel Uhl.
She is survived by her daughter, Janis (Mark) Williams; daughter in law, Treva Roush; grandchildren, Jacelyn (Matthew) Carle, Jevin (Anna) Williams, Chad (Jackie) Roush and great-grandchildren, Briella and Jack Carle, and Gavin Williams; brother, Bud Huston Sister, Florence Kachel; her nephew, Rudy Huston and very special neighbor, Michelle Hillyard.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10 AM in the funeral home, with Pastor Roger Quay, officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Rose Cemetery in Lancaster.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 125 N Eastwood Ave. Lancaster, OH ; or the American Heart Association.
