Gary R. Johnson

Gary Ross Johnson, age 64 of Lancaster, went home to be with his Lord, Monday, November 7, 2011. He was the owner of Johnson Tool and member of Fairfield Christian Church where he served as a deacon. He was a 1965 graduate of Lancaster High School and attended Ohio State University. Gary was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of Vietnam. Gary enjoyed family and friends and was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and loved playing basketball and cheering the Buckeyes. Gary was constantly encouraging, plowing through and maintained a strong faith

Survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Coulter Johnson, daughters: Jenny (Sean) Olson , Molly (Dave) Hines, grandchildren; Cheyanne Hines ,Autumn Hines, Sydney Olson, Jozie Hines, a sister, Karen (Bill) Anderson, brother Lyndon (Sue) Johnson, many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents James and Della George Johnson, and a brother Ed Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 A.M. at the Fairfield Christian Church with Pastors Mark Barbee and Sean Olson officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery (George Rd.). Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

The family suggests contributions to Fairfield Christian Church in Gary’s memory.
