Jack R. Miller

Jack R. Miller, age 85 of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Ft. Pierce, Florida, near his son Doug. Jack was; a U. S. Army/ Air Force Veteran of W. W. II, a retired accountant with Anchor Hocking, member of: Lancaster United Brethren in Christ Church and Olivedale Senior Citizens.

Jack is survived by: sons, Michael Miller and Douglas (Janeth) Miller, grandsons, Ryan and Jonathan Miller, brothers, Elmer (Margie) Miller and Paul (Wanita) Miller, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death: his parents, Elmer and Lillie “Shreyer” Miller, sisters, Dorothy Vanatta and Gladys Amand and his best friend, Ila Jean Nixon.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Lancaster United Brethren in Christ Church with Rev. Greg Voight officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery where the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail will conduct graveside military rites. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home, Lancaster, Ohio.
