Juanita J. Young

Juanita Janet Young, 94 of Pleasantville, passed away Friday, August 24, 2012. She was born February 7, 1918 in Huntington, West Virginia. Juanita was an active member of the First Church of God, Lancaster. She was a nursery worker for many years, a lifetime member of Women of the Church of God and a homemaker.

Juanita is survived by her sons, Henry (Nancy) Young of Lancaster, Wes (Cathy) Young of Pleasantville, and John (Brinda) Young of Thornville; daughter, Janet (Ronnie) Moore of Summit Station, son-in-law, Don Hines of Pleasantville; sisters, Grace Sharp and Easter Evans of Chillicothe; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and her church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Young, daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Hines, parents, Owen and Elizabeth Edmonds, sisters, Lydia Mayes and Betty Gilland and two brothers.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at First Church of God with Pastor William P. Means officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call 6 to 9 pm Monday at the Church and 1 hour prior to the service Tuesday at the Church.
