Judith “Judy” Thompson Thaxton Jensen, 85, of Lancaster, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday January 14, 2026 after having Parkins’s disease for many years. Judy was born on January 2, 1941 in Lockville, Ohio to the late Charles Leroy Thompson and Vinnie Bell Wyne Thompson, she was the youngest of 13 children. She was a graduate of Carroll High School and was a member of the Lithopolis OES for 63 years. Judy is survived by son, Jeff Thaxton, sisters, Rosie Barrett, Freda Marshall and Mary (Max) Thomas, sister-in-laws, Sarah Thompson and Jeri Thaxton, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William “Bill” Thaxton and Larry Jensen; Parents, sisters, Lena Blank, Bessie Martin, Fanny Miller and Alta Parker, brothers, Benjamin A Thompson Sr., George Thompson, Pearl “Butch” Thompson, Walter “Dale” Thompson and Russell Thompson. Judy donated her body to OSU for research. A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday February 7, 2026 at Halteman-Fett-Dyer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s name to a charity of choice.
