Lawrence “Larry” E. Gandee, age 76, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Pickering House with family by his side. Larry was born March 16, 1947 in Harvey, IL the son of the late Hubert "Red" Gandee and June M. Nargis Gandee. Larry started his first business in 1977 in a single car garage and grew his business ventures into the South Ewing Business and Commerce Center which is still thriving to this day. He was an Eagle Scout, served in the US Army National Guard and became an avid fisherman after spending 36 years on Marco Island, FL.
Larry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marleen Gandee, daughter and son-in-law, Laura Romans and Doug Diehl of Lancaster; daughter, Christina Gandee of Sammamish, Washington; grandchildren, Catherine Smith, Silas Smith, of Sammamish, Washington, Emilee Linares of Renton, Washington, Allison and Kale Richardson of Lancaster; great grandchildren, Leo Linares and Carsyn Richardson.
No services will be observed. Cremation has taken place. As his final wishes and his love for the water, the waters of Marco Island will be his final resting place.
