
Mary Alice “Fritzie” Poling, 104, of Lancaster, passed away February 7, 2018 at Bickford of Lancaster. Fritzie was born July 31, 1913 in Violet Township to the late Albert and Mary (Miller) Krumm. Fritzie was an assistant secretary at Capital Savings & Loan Co. until her retirement in 1978. She was the past president of the Lancaster Women’s Bowling Association and served as a director on the Ohio Women’s Bowling Assocation Board. During her years of service in the bowling community, Frtizie was a charter member of the Lancaster WBA Hall of Fame; a member of the Ohio Bowling Cancel Hall Of Fame; Member Emertia of Ohio WBA. She helped organize two of the longest running leagues in the Lancaster WBA. Fritzie held many titles in the bowling community to include 56 city championship tournaments, three All Events Scratch; six Doubles titles, two Singles.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Claude Poling and her parents.
She is survived by her niece, Pauletta Fowler, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018 at 7PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dr. John C. Davidson officiating. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 5PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Private Burial is to take place at Forest Rose Cemetery.
