
Maxine Huber Charlton, passed away February 8th, 2016. She was born on August 12th, 1915 in Detroit, Michigan. Her family located to Pleasantville, Ohio where she lived her early years and her adult life was spent in Lancaster, Ohio.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Charlton, her parents; H. Ray Huber and Edna Morse. Her two brothers, Harold, Hot Springs, AR, Crawford, Vienna, VA; two sisters, Doris Hopkins, Columbus, OH, Francis Buckley, Arlington, VA, and Elain Huber Harvey, Hot Springs, AR.
Surviving are nephews, Ray Huber, Hot Springs, AR, Dr. Steven (Mary) Huber, Columbus, GA, David (Brenda) Huber, Vienna, VA and niece Elain Huber Harvey, Hot Springs AR.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. James (Helen) Charlton and four nieces and nephews from the Charlton family.
Maxine lived and full and fruitful life impacting those in her immediate family, Church family and around the world. Her life was filled with various activities, which included radio (WCVO) and television (WSFJ). She was involved in civic and political activities as well as foreign missions. Her travels took her to 4 continents and numerous countries such as India, China, Philippines, Korea, Africa and Israel, just to name a few. Many of her trips opened a way for her to witness and distribute Bibles and Christian literature to the nationals. Her love for the Lord and others was quiet evident by the way she would give herself so that others might come to know her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She certainly left a huge footprint in her community and her home church, Fairfield Christian, where she was a member for 42 years. Maxine will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Her legacy will live on through the lives she impacted for the sake of the Gospel and her unfailing love for her Lord, Jesus Christ. We love you Maxine.
The memorial and celebration service will be held at Fairfield Christian Church, 1965 N. Columbus St., Lancaster OH, on Saturday, February 13th, 2016 at 11AM.
Calling hours will be Friday at the Church from 6PM-8PM as well as one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Greenfield Township Cemetery. Arrangements have been made through Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home.
Memorial gifts may be given in lieu of flowers to the Missions Department of Fairfield Christian Church.
