Ralph Russell Conrad

Ralph R. Conrad Jr., 79 of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Grant Medical Center. Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfather and faithful servant for God. He was born April 5, 1936 in Lancaster, Ohio, the son of the late Ralph R. Conrad Sr. and Elinor LeMunyon Conrad. Ralph was a Bible Scholar, lifelong member of Church of Christ, Dean at Hocking Hills Bible College, graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1954 and attended Milligan College. He retired from American Electric Power Co. in 1998 after 34 ½ years of service and currently worked part-time for Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Ralph enjoyed camping, biking, reading books and OSU sports.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Reta Y. (Finney) Conrad; children, Ralph “Rusty” Conrad, Robyn (Mark) Trimmer, Roxana (Terry) Jenkins; grandchildren, James Conrad, Mark Conrad, Zach Jenkins and Jessie Jenkins; great grandchildren, Riley and Brayden Conrad; nephews, Rick and Randy Stalder.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Imogene Stalder and brother, Kermit Conrad.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ with Pastor David C. Tingler officiating. Burial will follow at Stukey Cemetery, Sugar Grove. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
