

Robert M. “Bob” Lozier, 97, passed away at The Bickford of Lancaster on November 13, 2021. Bob was born in Akron, Ohio on March 9, 1924 to Martin and Anna Lozier. He graduated from Kenmore High School in 1941 and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served his country aboard the USS Robinson in the South Pacific during World War II. Bob then attended and graduated from Tri-State College in 1950 with a degree in Business Administration. He spent his career as a Purchasing Agent for Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Akron, Piketon Ohio, and Logan, Ohio before retiring with 35 years of service. During retirement Bob enjoyed spending part of the winter in New Smyrna Beach Florida with his beloved wife Mary along with Mary’s sisters and brother-in-law’s. He also was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds. Most of all Bob and Mary enjoyed spending time with their family. Family “get togethers” happened year-round, however the holiday season was extra special. Bob was also a member of The American Legion Post 11 in Lancaster for over 50 years.
Bob was predeceased by his wife of nearly 50 years, Mary, his parents Martin and Anna, his sister Donna, and numerous sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law’s. Bob is survived by his three sons Bob (Judy), Mark (Janice), and Bill (Jennifer), his grandchildren Joe (Brittany), Kelli (Aaron), Nick (Stephanie), Dan, and Jessie (Tyler). He is also survived by his great grandchildren who always brought a smile to his face, Cece, Elliot, and Anthony. Calling hours to be Wednesday November 17 from 5-7 followed by Vigil and Rosary at 7 PM at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home 436 N. Broad Street in Lancaster. Funeral Mass to be at St Mary of Assumption Church in Lancaster at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 18. Bob will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
