Sharon Elliott, 78 of Lancaster, Passed away Tuesday June 13, 2023 at Fairfield Medical Center. For the last 23 years, she’s been known as Sharon Elliott, as she found love again later in her adult life with Robert “Bob” Elliott. Together they served their church in capacities that were special to them. Sharon loved making cards and different crafts for the congregation of their church, and she did so until she no longer could. Prior to that, she was known as Sharon Lee (Swain) Kay. She was born to the late, Roscoe “Hap” and Betty (Kopp) Swain. She met her soulmate, Robert “Bob” Kay and the rest is history. She loved deeply. She loved hard. All who knew her, knew she had 11 children. Until the end, with a big smile, she would proudly say, “I have 11 children!” Bob and Sharon were named “Foster parents of the year” in 1977, as they fostered more than 50 children in their home in over 10 years of fostering. She served the church throughout the years in different capacities, as a way to share her love for Christ, and what He has done for her and her family. She loved all animals, and through her adulthood always had at least one dog. Although we are sad and will miss her, we know she was welcomed to heaven with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” Matthew 25:23. She is survived by her siblings, Loraine (Joe) Steirhoff, Rocky (Charlene) Swain and Debbie Gaines. She is survived by her children, Ruben (Marcia) Kay, Michael Kay, Kathryn (Tim) Larson, Anna (Roger) Naus, Robin (Jeff) Parker, Rob (Tammy) Kay, Krystal Landis, Heather Chidester, Steven Kay, Shawn Kay and Andy Kay. She is survived by 20 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kay. Children, Heidi and Scotty Kay. Grandchild, Jay Parker. Brother, David Swain; and son-in-law, Kevin Landis. A celebration of life will take place at New Life Assembly of God, 7766 Stoutsville Pike Rd, Circleville, OH, on June 17th, 2023. Calling hours are 4-6pm with the service immediately to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation box will be available to help offset the cost of her funeral.
