

Thomas (Tim) Howard Hall, Jr., 87, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his wife and daughters on April 25, 2023, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born February 10, 1936, in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Thomas H. Hall, Sr. and Elizabeth (Hyde) Hall. He was a 1954 graduate of Lancaster High School where he was class president for all four years and was athlete of the year in 1954. He was All-Ohio in baseball and was 2nd team All-COL and Honorable Mention All-Ohio in basketball.
He attended Ohio University where he played freshman basketball and baseball. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and was the fraternity’s candidate for J-Prom King his senior year, placing 3rd. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He was in the Air National Guard and was stationed in France for a year during the Berlin Wall crisis.
He worked as an engineer for Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. for 26 years and for South Central Power Company for 12 years.
His hobbies included singing with the Lancaster Men’s Chorus for many years, golf with the traveling seniors, woodcarving with Charlie’s Chippers, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lynn, daughter Kristin (Mike) Hill, daughter Erin Hall, grandsons Joshua and Jason Hill, all from Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by sons Matthew Hall and Andrew Hall, brother Stephen Hall, and brother James Hall.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Tim’s memory to the Lancaster Men’s Chorus or St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Visiting hours will be at the Halteman-Fett-Dyer Funeral Home on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. There will be an additional visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Saturday, May 6, 2023 prior to Tim’s Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am.
