Vivian L. Richards

Vivian Louise Powers Richards born November 8, 1929 passed away on January 25, 2017 was our sister, mother, aunt, friend, grandma and great grandma. She had the best wit about her; you just never knew what she was going to say next. She loved to gamble, made the best homemade noodles, could make any flower or plant grow, absolutely loved to shop the second hand stores for stuff she didn't need and loved with all her heart. Coming from a family of hunters, she could do wonders in the kitchen. We will miss her so much but know she's in a better place making grandpa laugh. She is survived by brother, Sam Powers; Her children, Steve(Carol) Richards, Dan (MaryAnn) Richards, Scott(Holly) Richards; grandchildren, Karen(Brad) Richards-Scarberry, Kristy (Dan) Jones, Lisa (Eric) Richards-Floyd, Ella Richards , McElla and Caden Varley, great grandchildren, Kennedy, Danny, Logan and Grace, best niece Diane (Bobby) Seifert and best friend, Pauline Brown. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenny, her parents and 11 brothers and sisters; James, Ruth, Dorothy, Frank, Peg, Fred, Wanda, Lula, Margaret, Robert and Pat.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor John Kindsvatter officiating. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends and family may visit today from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to The Charity Newsies or St. Vincent de Paul. The Family would like to thank the staff of Lanfair and Primrose for their great care during these last few months.
