He is survived by his loving wife Eunice, brother Derek, daughter Kim (Sandy), daughter Nicole (Travis), 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
“Chuck” was born in Manchester on July 5th, 1946. After arriving in Canada 6 months after his birth, his family made a home in Surrey, BC. Chuck and Eunice met when they were 12 years old and stayed by each other’s side for 66 years; building a life around the love of family and friends. Chuck’s legacy was so much more than his 40 years of driving for Safeway, or his numerous golf tournament prizes or his joy of “chasing the win”.
Chuck was a model of what it meant to be a family man: a husband, father, grandad, great grandad, brother and friend. One of his greatest joys was being at the sports field, watching his daughters play and then watching his grandchildren play. He always made time for people, regardless of how well he knew them. He was a friend to so many and his loss has impacted such a variety of settings and people. It is a true reflection of the impact he had on so many who enjoyed him, his humour and his genuine kindness. His family and friends are forever grateful for the gift his presence gave. We will deeply miss him. Love your family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at Riverwynd Clubhouse located at 5550 Langley Bypass on July 26th from 12-3pm. Entrance to the complex is off 56th Avenue and the gate is open.
