Clara Betty Dyck

It is with great sadness that we announce that our mom, Clara, lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on Sunday afternoon and went to be with our Lord. The sun was shining through her window and she was surrounded by her husband, 4 sons, and many loved ones. Mom was born in Chilliwack, BC to Otto and Sadie Betschova. She married John in 1952 and lived in Vancouver until 1988 when they moved to Walnut Grove, Langley. Mom worked in retail for most of her career and retired from Cleo’s. Clara’s true passion was her family. Mom was happiest when her children and their families were visiting. Cleaning, ironing, baking cookies, knitting and dashing off to Bingo were her pastimes. Black Mountain Ranch on weekends with Dad and family were also very memorable times. Mom will be watching over her husband John, sons; Dennis (Mary-Ann), Terry (Deborah), Randy (Debbie), Andrew (Ilene). Grandchildren; Crystal (Jeremy), Candice (Carlos), Gillian, Brandon (Jen), Jessica, Quinn, Jonathan, Marissa and Kelsey. Great-Grandchildren; Brayden, Rylan, Kingston, Brielle and Emma. Some say it was snowing on Monday, we know it was Mom already 'dusting' in heaven!. A Celebration of Life for Mom will be held 11:00 am on January 11, 2014 at Riverside Calvary Chapel 20178 - 96th Ave Langley, BC.
