Dave was born in Saskatchewan, the fourth child of William and Helen. He later moved to British Columbia, where he met the love of his life, Marlene, in 1966. They were married in 1969 and went on to build a beautiful life together, raising two sons, Colin and Wesley.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Dave spent 35 years as a valued employee at Otter Co-op. Outside of work, he found joy in music—especially playing guitar and listening to country tunes. He had a deep appreciation for classic 1950s cars and loved spending time in his garage, tinkering and restoring. One of his greatest pleasures was taking his grandchildren on camping adventures, creating cherished memories that will live on.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife Marlene, sons Colin and Wes, and his siblings Alvina, Ann, and John. He also leaves behind extended family members Mike, Tryston, Kingston, and many others who were touched by his warmth and kindness.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Not gone …but only gone before
To where love lives on evermore.
Not lost ... but only lost from sight
As one who walks ahead at night.
Not parted ... only just apart
In memory, kept close in heart.
Not of the past... but now to be
A part of all eternity.
