

Dennis Patrick Fremmerlid passed away suddenly on May 15th, 2024 at his home in Langley, BC, at the age of 70. Dennis was born in Vancouver, BC on March 17th, 1954 to Peter and Frankie (LaBelle) Fremmerlid. He moved with his family to Prince George, BC in 1964.
Dennis worked at the Northwood Pulp Mill for many years, primarily as a painter. He met Rosemary Nieke at work, and they were married on September 20th, 1975 in Prince George.
Dennis enjoyed fishing, boating, and off-roading. He was part of the Prince George Power and Sail Squadron for about 10 years. He and Rosemary retired in 2011, and spent the next couple of years full-time RVing before moving to Surrey in 2013 and then Langley in 2015 to be near their daughters. Many winters were spent in Mexico, where he enjoyed ATVing and fishing.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Peter. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rosemary, three daughters Sharon (Frank) Jamin, Valerie (Steven) Penner, and Laura (Sean) Hitchcock, and five grandchildren Carolyn, Paul, Victoria, Edwin, and Andrew. He is also survived by three brothers and four sisters and their families.
In accordance with Dennis’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. To honor his memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
