With heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of Don Morris on August 27th, 2017. Don was a husband, father, son and best friend, who left us too soon at the age of 62 after a brave battle with cancer. Don was born and raised in Nanaimo and quickly found his life partner and soul mate at the age of 15. Don’s business acumen led to well earned success, as he rose to be a financial executive and owned many businesses during his 40-year career. Don was an astute businessman and determined negotiator; his lively debate, wit and infinite wisdom will be fondly remembered. Don loved to explore the world; he had a thirst for travel and good scotch. Most of all Don loved to spend time with his family and friends that he was so proud of. Don is predeceased by his mother, Barbara, and survived and greatly missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Ann (nee Benedetti), father John, daughter Natalie (Jon), and son Michael (Lauren). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Delta Hospice Society, whose staff took such great care of Don in his final months.
