Donna L McManus

Donna is survived by her husband Mike, their children Edward (Ellen), Debra (John), Richard (Bonnie), Laurie (Dave), Terry (Victoria), Kimberley (Dave) and Leah (Mike), 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Donna was born in Winnipeg where she met her husband Mike. They lived in Edmonton, Yellowknife and Burnaby before settling in Fort Langley for the last 34 years. Donna loved spending her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She participated in many charitable organizations, canvasing door to door, managing bingos for fundraising, making shoe boxes for children, and providing Christmas hampers for families in need. There was not a child outside a grocery store or a child knocking at her door that did not receive a donation for their cause.

When Donna was not busy with charities, she was ensuring the birds and squirrels in her back yard were well feed and taken care of. They would come to the window if their feeders were empty to let her know. Donna's gardens displayed a variety of colors throughout the spring, summer and fall for the family and neighbors to enjoy. Her vegetable garden supplied family and friends with an abundance of her prize tomatoes.

Donna travelled with Mike throughout North America in their 5th wheel trailer and especially enjoyed meeting new people and exploring sights off the beaten path. Donna collected many souvenirs from the special places they visited and used these treasures to decorate their home.

One of Donna's greatest enjoyments was having all the family over for dinner to celebrate special occasions. Those that knew Donna well, knew that her many stories entertained family and friends during those occasions.

To honor Donna's request and in the spirit of her love of bright colours, the family will be wearing the colors Donna loved best at her celebration of life. Please feel free to do the same.
