

December 2, 1922 - January 27, 2012
Born in Morden Manitoba, Doug was raised on a farm and at the age of 18 volunteered for the army. He spent the next 5 years in the Lord Strathcona Horse Tank Corps in action in Italy, France, Belguim and Holland. Returning to Morden he married his sweetheart Joyce Kerridge in 1946, moved to Flin Flon, Manitoba and spent the next 40 years employed by H.B.M. & S and raising their three sons. They enjoyed many happy retirement years in Penticton and moved to Mission, B.C. in 2006 to be closer to their 3 sons and families. Predeceased by his brother Irv, Doug is survived by his loving wife Joyce, sister Fanny, sons Reid (Darcel), Bob (Diana), Peter (Paula), as well as many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He will be missed by all. A celebration of Doug's life will be held at Henderson Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Hwy, Langley, B.C. on Saturday, February 11, at 12:30 p.m.
