Eleanor Margaret Bird

November 27, 1922 – November 19, 2015

Margaret passed away peacefully at Langley Memorial Hospital at the age of 92 years. She will be lovingly remembered by Gordon, her husband of 71 years; son, Al Bird (Gloria); daughter, Arlene Esau (Dave) of Calgary; daughter-in-law, Marsha Bird of Campbell River; 6 grandchildren: Darcy Bird, Diane Bird, Alison Pakulak (Steve), Steve Bird, Kristin Hinch (Shelby) of Calgary & Lauren Park (John) of Calgary; 6 great-grandchildren: Justin, Leah, Madelyn, Olivia, Marigold & Owen; sister, Jean Peters; nieces, Lee Clarke & Lorie Lynch. Margaret was predeceased by her son Dave Bird. Aside from homemaking & gardening, Margaret worked at different jobs: women’s fashions, the collection department at The Bay, Tupperware & bookkeeping at Esau Finn & Associates Ltd. Margaret enjoyed a wonderful & long life with Gordon. As was often said, they “did it all” & they “travelled the world”. She will be dearly missed and will remain in our hearts forever. As per Margaret’s wishes, no service will be held
