Eleanor Haldane Haywood

“Give me a job to do and I will do it if I believe in it”

Eleanor passed away peacefully, at the Harrison Long Term facility in Surrey BC, on June 9, 2024, at the age of 85. Born in Winnipeg, 1938, to parents Garnet & Evelyn McClelland.

She was predeceased by her husband, Brian, in 2010 and her sister, Georgina, who passed recently in January 2024.

Eleanor will be sadly missed by her son Bryan Kent Haywood, brother Charles McClelland (Suzanne), and nieces/nephew Katherine (Rodney), Steven (Tracy), Stephanie, Renee (Chris), and Andrea (Randy).

As per Eleanor’s request, there will be no service. She did however want her family to pass on her love to all her friends and acquaintances she met along her life’s path.

Our family is forever grateful for the exceptional care Ellie received while at Elim Village. We would like to express our most heartfelt “thank you” to the staff and medical professionals at the Harrison who together made Ellie’s final few months comfortable and pleasant.
