It is with great sadness that we announce Wilfred (Wilf) Herndl, age 90 of Langley passed away Friday morning, October 28, 2022. Born December 9, 1931 to Max Herndl and Myrtle (Judd) Herndl of Brackendale BC; Wilfred was the grandson of Squamish Valley pioneer Henry (Harry) Judd.
Wilf was preceded in death by wife of 69 years Phyllis whom passed February 6, 2022 and son Maxwell on
August 31, 2003. He is survived by daughters Cinda (Terry), Pamella and Charlotte (Curtis), 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Wilf was born and raised in Brackendale spending most of his youth on his grandparent’s farm until departing to Vancouver BC where he attended high school and university. He met Phyllis in Ocean Falls, married in 1953 and had 4 children. He worked at Chevron for 35 years as laboratory teacher, repairman and technician. In retirement, Wilf enjoyed outdoor pursuits, reading, spending time with family and travelling.
