John (Jack) Edward Coey of Langley, BC departed this world July 3rd, 2015 to be with his loving wife. Jack was born April 17th 1940 in Saskatoon Sask., to Harold & Helen Coey in the middle of 4 siblings, Norma, Joan and Bill. Richmond, B.C. then became home.
Married to the love of his life Ardelle, he was a proud father to Sherry, Steven, John, and Gary. Jack worked for Jack Cewe Ltd., as a Loader operator for over 30 years, and was known for his humorously, crusty disposition. Although, those that knew him well enough, saw past his hard exterior and knew he was a big softy on the inside.
He made an unrivalled tomato and cheese sandwich, made trucker hats cool before they were cool, enjoyed Nascar & NFL from his favourite lazy-boy with a glass of OJ, and was constantly threatened by Ardelle retrieving the shotgun, if he didn't turn down "that damn blues music".
Jack will be greatly missed, and is survived by his children: Sherry (Tara), John (Janie), Gary (Heather) Grandchildren: Shawna (Kevin), Thomas (Vanessa), Justin, Joey, Jakob, Jade, Jaxon and great grandson Vaughn. Jack is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Because of his fear of the spotlight, Jack has unsurprisingly requested there to be no service. In Lieu of flowers, the family ask that you "pay-it-forward" and perform a random act of kindness in Jack's name.
