Leanne Carol Yacyshyn

Leanne was born May 17, 1973 in Langley, the daughter of Lloyd & Dianne Geransky.

Leanne worked as a K-7 Teacher at the Alberta Teachers Association. Leanne was admired by her students and parents. Leanne was showered with gifts of gratitude each semester. Leanne had a gift for teaching.

Leanne especially loved crafting, exercising, and travelling. In her early 20s, Leanne travelled around the world for 6 months landing in Egypt, Israel, India, Australia and often shared those cultural experiences.

Leanne was a member of Northview Community Church, Abbotsford and First Alliance Church, SE Calgary.

Remaining to cherish Leanne’s memory are spouse, Cory Yacyshyn; son, Silas Yacyshyn; daughter, Olivia Yacyshyn; parents, Lloyd & Dianne Geransky; brother, Shawn Geransky.

A funeral is scheduled for 1:00 PM, December 15, 2025, at 32040 Downes Road, Abbotsford, BC Northview Community Church, with a reception to follow. Dr. Dave Currie will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Leanne’s life.
