It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Michael McCann on November 6, 2021, followed by that of his beloved wife Cynthia on May 15, 2022. Mike and Cynthia were both raised in Surrey, B.C. Mike attended UBC where he earned degrees in Biochemistry and Medicine. He practiced family medicine in Langley, B.C. for more than 30 years. Cynthia studied nursing and worked as a nurse at VGH before marrying Mike. They were married for 35 years and their greatest joy was their family. They are survived by their 3 sons: Ryan, Kevin and Matthew.

Mike loved the outdoors. He was an avid walker, skier and swimmer. Days spent skiing with his son Kevin on Cypress Mountain and snorkelling the tropical waters of Antigua were especially treasured moments. Cynthia devoted her love and energy to her 3 boys. Her favourite pastime was quilting and she spent many happy hours on her sewing projects.

A memorial service will be held for both Mike and Cynthia on Saturday, May 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley, BC.
