

Robert Charles Munro, born June 2, 1951, in New Westminster, British Columbia, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, in Langley, British Columbia. Rob lived a life defined by devotion—to his family, his passions, and the home he took such pride in nurturing.
Rob is lovingly remembered by his wife of 55+ years and high school sweetheart, Cheryl Munro, and by his sons Robert (Shellie) and Jason (Jessica). He was a proud grandfather, forever cherished by his granddaughters Taryn, Jenna, Hannah, and Hailey, who brought him endless joy and laughter.
A true family man, Rob’s happiest moments were spent surrounded by those he loved. His loyalty, warmth, and steady presence created a foundation of comfort and strength for his family, who will carry his love forward in their lives. Rob took great pride in his home; it was his sanctuary, a place he shaped with pride and where countless memories were made.
Rob was also known for his passion for drag racing, a pursuit that brought him excitement, camaraderie, and lifelong friendships. Whether behind the wheel or sharing stories from the track, he embraced the sport with enthusiasm and heart. Rob was equally enthusiastic about hockey, a sport he followed throughout his life and enjoyed discussing with friends and family.
Rob’s legacy is one of love, commitment and storytelling. His determination, reliability, and strong work ethic were qualities admired by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Rob’s life will be held on April 14, 2026, at the Fort Langley Golf course (9782 McKinnon Crescent, Langley BC) at 1:30 in the afternoon.
