Sophie (Valko/Belinski) Bell passed away on January 7, 2020 at the age of 90.

Sophie was born in the village of Liptovské Revúce on the border between Veľká Fatra and Low Tatras in Slovakia to Richard Valko Sr and Sophie (Vanocan) Valko. Leaving Slovakia at the age of one, Sophie and her mom moved to Canada to be with her father and start a new life. Sophie found and married the love of her life William (Belinski) Bell in November 1952 and they remained inseparable until his passing in 1999.

Sophie was pre-deceased by her husband and her oldest daughter Cathy.

She was a wonderful sister to her only brother, a loving and caring mom to her surviving son and daughter and their wife and husband, an amazing grandma to three grandsons and two granddaughters, and a caring aunt, cousin and friend to many. She was passionate about her faith and loved golfing, curling, reading and puzzles. She was loved and loved many and will be greatly missed.
