Anita Torres Ramos

Anita Torres Ramos, 80, of East Lansing, Michigan, passed away May 22, 2014. She was born on July 26, 1933 in Lockhart, Texas to the late Elisao and Juanita (Hernandez) Torres. Anita loved to spend time outdoors and be with her friends and family. When she wasn’t cooking, gardening, or crocheting, Anita would visit different attractions in Michigan. She particularly enjoyed frequenting the zoo and local parks, as well as Mackinac Island and Frankenmuth. Anita was also an outstanding member of her church. She spent many hours volunteering with the church, and will be remembered for her kind and giving heart.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Yolanda Anderson. Surviving to cherish her memory are seven of her children: Mary (Gary) Marine, Domingo Ramos, Stella Forist, Raymundo Raymos, Molly Strieff, Jane Munroe, and Jesus (Celeste) Ramos; brother, Epimeniό (Irene); and sister, Loretta.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
