

Annie worked for the Waverly Schools as a lunch aid and volunteered for Hospice of Lansing. During WWII Annie worked in the Surgeon Generals office in Washington, DC where she met her husband Lewis. Annie had a passion for reading and was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved her role as grandma and great grandma.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lewis Means; Parents; and her brother Ward Luther.
Surviving are her children Wayne (Peggy) Means, Ronald (Carole) Means, Ruth (Gary) Smith, Greg (Terri) Means; sister Janis Stinson; 9 Grandchildren Robert, Lisa, Tim, Chris, Kevin, Scott, Bryan, Meredith, Allen, and 14 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 3, 2010 at Bethel Baptist, 810 Edgemont Blvd., Lansing, officiated by Rev. James Robinson. Visitation will be from 2-4 P.M. Sunday at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annie?s memory to Bethel Baptist Church. Annie?s family wishes to thank her friends at Delta Retirement Center and at Hospice House of Mid Michigan, St. Lawrence Campus, for all their care and concern.
