Ardyce Mae Deason, a lifelong resident of Lansing, Michigan, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on January 28, 2026, at the age of 89.
Born on June 25, 1936, to Rex William and Eleanor Edith (Swartz) Berger, Ardyce grew up with a deep connection to her Lansing roots. She was a woman defined by her dedication and work ethic, going back to school later in life to earn an Associate's Degree in Business at Lansing Community College, and spending an impressive 42 years in Nursing Administration at Edward W. Sparrow Hospital, retiring in 2003.
Beyond her professional life, Ardyce found joy in the quiet beauty of the world. She was an avid gardener who loved tending to her plants and a skilled crafter who enjoyed the process of creating something by hand.
Ardyce was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marcia (Gene) Worthington; her former husbands, Roger W. Covert and Leonard "Jake" Deason; and her beloved beagle, Gracie.
Ardyce is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Derek) Dombroski, and her two granddaughters, Hannah and Isabel Dombroski.
Service Information:
Visitation: The family will receive visitors on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan 48912.
Graveside Service: A short graveside service will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan.
