Eugene first and foremost loved the Lord. He was very active in his church, True North Community Church.
He would help the church anyway he could. Eugene was often the one to cut the grass or shovel snow for his church.
He had a beautiful smile. When people would meet Eugene for the first time, they would notice his smile. He was a helper. Eugene would help anyone that needed help.
Eugene is proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers, Felix (Margaret) and Gilbert Dokum.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Gloria; son, Brian (Shirley); grandchildren, Samantha Dokum, Christan Beaverho, Mia Dokum, Lola Dokum, Bradley Easterbrook, and Tyler Easterbrook; great grandchildren, Dominic Dokum, Payton Dokum, Ryker Easterbrook, Casey Beaverho, and Emma Easterbrook; Godson, Geordie Roy; sisters, Linda Dokum, and Marian Dokum; sister-in-law, Henrietta Dokum; and extended family.
Eugene had many hobbies, he loved to hunt, fish, watch hockey (especially MSU Hockey). He was a man who loved to be out in his garage building things and woodworking. He also was very competitive, especially in cards, any games and monopoly. He didn't like to lose and he never did. That was something he was proud of.
He enjoyed going to all of his son's sporting events. He never missed one of Brian's games.
A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m with a visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. until time of service at True North Community Church.
