In October of 1955, Assunta moved to America from Italy. She loved to garden and spend time with her grandkids. Her whole life was family.
Preceding Assunta in death is her husband Mario Porco; parents Santo & Concetta DeMarco; and brothers Egidio DeMarco and Davide DeMarco. Surviving are her sons Francesco (Rosetta) Porco, Marcello (Domenica) Porco; grandchildren Mario (Dawn) Porco, Richard (Karen) Porco, Sue Ellen (Jon) Tyszkiewicz, Luca Porco; and five great grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 17, 2010 at St. Therese Parish, 102 W. Randolph St., Lansing, officiated by Fr. Michael Williams, with visitation one hour prior, followed by interment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday, at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Assunta?s name to Hospice House of Mid Michigan, St. Lawrence Campus. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to everyone at Hospice House.
