Barbara "Bobbi" Annis

Barbara Ellen Annis, age 76 of Lansing, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 16, 2017. She was born August 14, 1940 in Paris, Illinois to Wesley John Williams and Pearl Irene (Crafton) Williams. Bobbi went to school in New Lebanon, Indiana where she had several very special friends she kept in contact with for several years before her recent illnesses. At the age of 16 she moved to Michigan with her sister Carolyn and family. She attended Eastern High School and graduated in 1958.

She thoroughly enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, and spending time with family and her MANY friends. She worked several years as a bookkeeper and helping her late husband owner and operator of “Annis Carpet Installation Services”.

Bobbi is preceded in death by her parents, her late husband of 31 years Melvin “Mel” Annis; sister Betty (Paul) Ryan, brother Stanley Williams, sister Carolyn Acord and brother Blaine “Sonny” (Linda) Williams.

Bobbi is survived by her sister Wanda (Joe) Moshenrose of Paris, IL; daughters Ellen (Dave) Foster, Lori (Charlie) Alstott, both of Lansing; step-son Jim (Roxanne) Annis of Legoneer, IN; grandchildren Wanda Lynn, Jordan, Michelle, Angie, Nikki and AJ; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her grand-dog Harley. All who Love and Will Miss her GREATLY.

There will be a private service for immediate family members with interment at a later date at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Tri County office on Aging, Vista Springs Assisted Living, McLaren Greater Lansing Greenlawn Campus and the McLaren Hospice and Palliative Care Team as well as her many friends at Cedar Place for all of their help and support with Mom, Grandma “Nanny”.
