Barbara Joyce Ballard

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to be with her Lord on August 23, 2018 at the age of 92. Barbara was born December 5, 1925 to Elmer & Merle Kyes. She worked for many years in the family business, Kyes Upholstering. She was a member of Emanuel First Lutheran Church. She loved to sew and cross stich and enjoyed her families.

Surviving are her husband of 32 years, who she married Feb. 14, 1986, Richard “Dick” Ballard; 6 children, Donna Kaye, Crystal (Blane) Rings, Karen (Gary) Ferguson, Rich (Susanne) Ballard, Mark (Laurie) Grant, and Michael Grant; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, William (Corla) Kyes; several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marilyn Kenney, and 2 brothers Robert and Albert Kyes.

Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Monday in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Emanuel First Lutheran Church, 1001 N. Capital Ave, Lansing with Pastor Paul Lindloff officiating. Viewing will be from 10-11 A.M. Tuesday at church. Interment Deepdale Memorial Park.
