Age 83, our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went to be with God in Heaven on January 8, 2010. Born June 20, 1926 in Carson City, MI.
Bea attended Nursing School at Mercy Hospital in Grand Rapids.
She was a Registered Nurse at Sparrow Hospital for many years.
Bea was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Gray; husband, Edward Gray, M.D.; sister, Joanne Hofmann; 5 brothers, Norbert, Maurice, Alvin, Paul, and David Schrauben.
Surviving are her daughters, Peggy Kennedy and Theresa Gray both of Lansing; her granddaughters, Rachel and Allison Kennedy both of Denver, CO; 3 sisters, Mary Ann Hoy, Therese (Pat) Lawless, and Bernita (Gayle) Miller; brother-in-law, Dick Hofmann; sisters-in-law, Doris Schrauben, Jeanne Kendall, and Joyce Schrauben; many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Monday with a 7:00 P.M. Vigil service in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing.
Funeral Liturgy is 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 12, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Rite of committal will be in the Spring at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Ionia, MI.
The family wishes to thank Rick Kennedy and Gil LeBron, the staff of Independence Village-Grand Ledge, and Sparrow Hospital for their special care to Bea.
